/ FOUNDER’S PROFILE

Lok, Kerk Hwang is the founder of Dezain Studio (Singapore & Malaysia). Lok has more than 25 years’ of creative design experience in Branding, Graphic, Packaging, Website and Advertising industries. Lok earned his Bachelor of Arts in Advertising degree from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia in 1996. Prior to his Undergraduate study, Lok obtained his Diploma of Graphic Design at Nanyang Academic of Fine Arts in 1995.

Lok has direct responsibility for day-to-day activities on all major projects at Dezain Studio. He heads and directs the creative team. His attention to detail and adherence to established design objectives results in consistently well-targeted solutions for all our clients. His organizational skills are extremely important to Dezain Studio’s timely and smooth-running programs.

Prior to founding Dezain Studio, he was the Creative Head of Asiacontent.com Limited, Singapore, where he was responsible for the design and supervision of corporate brand, corporate identity, graphic and website development for clients’ projects.

Aside from creative design management, Lok is an internationally-known award-winning watercolour artist. He is the Signature Member of The American Watercolour Society and The Allied Artists of America, Inc., He is also a member of the Singapore Watercolour Society and Malaysian Watercolour Society.

Kerk Hwang actively participates in International Juried Exhibitions and Art Expos and has won over 30 Awards in many prestigious worldwide competitions. Lok is a regular invitation artist to many established International Exhibitions.

His painting was on the cover of leading European Watercolour Magazine “The Art of Watercolour” 16th Issue September 2014 with a 6-page article, and recently a 4-paged featured article on 26th Issue, March 2017. He is included in the Russian / English bilingual book “24 Masters of Watercolor: From East to West” published in 2015. Kerk Hwang’s works are in the collections of corporations, governments, schools and many private individuals worldwide.
